My private sessions take a holistic approach to working through physical and mental health issues, specializing in trauma, inner child work, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, injury recovery and chronic pain management.

Everything in life is energy. Our experiences, thoughts, feelings and behaviors all carry an energy to them. This energy gets expressed through our physical, mental, and spiritual bodies as tension or ease, health or dis-ease.

In our work together, through a guided check-in we will assess where your energy is flowing or stuck, and how this pattern is affecting you in your life. Each session will include Svādhyāya (elements of talk and emotional processing, inner reflection), somatic movement (understanding and witnessing thoughts and emotion as sensations in the body and learning how to be with and move them), and pranayama (breathwork) to bring you back into a state of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual balance. Specific asanas (poses), pranayama practices, meditations and relaxation techniques, as well as energy work are explored, taught, and practiced in sessions to suit your individual needs in healing on all levels. Sessions may also include, as appropriate, therapeutic touch, massage, and sound healing.

ENERGETIC BALANCING & HEALING BODYWORK

Bodywork practice of "metta,” loving kindness, combined with grounding, soothing and energetic touch, performed by the practitioner as an offering to the client as a moving meditation utilizing pressure and massage to stimulate the movement of energy in order to provide healing and wellness. This type of massage is received wearing comfortable clothing while lying on a supportive Thai mat on the ground. Rachel draws on the traditional techniques of Thai Yoga Massage, Meridian Yoga Therapy, Chakra Balancing, and Mindfulness utilizing a combination of acupressure, massage, myofascial release, energy work, intuitive touch, guided breathwork and assisted stretching. Throughout the session you will be guided into deep states of release and relaxation mentally and physically. Working through the Sen lines (energetic pathways in the body similar to and overlapping with meridians) Rachel helps to create a flow in the body for stagnant energy to be worked through and released. This style of bodywork can be deeply restoring on all levels: physical body, mental-emotional body, energetic body, ancestral body, and is supportive for healing: trauma, chronic pain, muscular tension, digestive issues, brain fog, stress, anxiety and depression. This integrative healing bodywork helps to increase flexibility and mobility, improve sleep, support nervous system balancing, reduce stress, improve circulation and digestion, and foster a sense of renewed energy and vibrancy.
